Can someone PLEASE edit and offer suggestions for the Third part of my essay, please......it is due

Although some people would not believe that a mere sport like tennis could have such a positive impact on the virtues that I posses, I believe that I have proved them wrong, as tennis has had an impact on my life that is so large, not even I can fully grasp it.

Watching their bodies sway in a perfect motion. Their footwork so magnificent, it is almost as if they are fragile ballet dancers performing Swan Lake. Their shots and strokes are so precise; it is almost like they were programmed by computers. These are some of the characteristics of tennis professionals, my personal idols. From the earlier legends, to the more recent tennis sensations, I have been transfixed and inspired by so many of them. Some of my earliest memories of tennis trace back to when I was three years old, watching Pete Sampras or Monica Seles on T.V with my parents. The way these professionals played tennis was like a dance, or work of art, and I wanted to be just like them. To this day, although my tennis idols have changed, I still greatly admire these incredible human beings, and it would be my greatest wish to accomplish some of the great feats that these legends have accomplished. The way the crowd cheers when Novak Djokovic wins the Australian Open, is so touching that it brings goosebumps to my skin. The way kids yearn to be like Roger Federer or Justine Henin, is what I want for myself, I want to be a tennis legend. Although having my face on cereal boxes or on the cover of “Sports Illustrated” would not be a bad thing, what I really want is to play with the best in the world, and to inspire other children to play tennis, just like my idols have inspired me.

As you can probably tell from reading my essay, tennis is an incredibly large part of my life, and a sport that I adore with a passion. If I will go on to become some tennis professional, that I don’t know for sure, however, what I do know is that I will continue to play this phenomenal sport until the day that I die. I could go on forever and ever to talk about how much I love this sport, as I love truly everything about it. I delight in the sensual delight of hitting a ball right in the middle of my racquet, and feeling no vibration; a sweet shot. I love the precision, dedication, fitness, passion, sweat, hours of training, and most of all: the feeling of accomplishment when I win a match. There is nothing that can compare and surpass this incredible feeling! All in all, I love tennis because it is such a part of my past, my present, my personality, and hopefully my future……………………..(can some one help me think of a really good concluding sentence please!?)

Can someone PLEASE edit and offer suggestions for the Third part of my essay, please......it is due tomorrow?passions soap opera

Someone once said, "all of our dreams can come true if we have the courage to pursue them." I believe this and as I continue to follow this dream of mine, I will build up more and more courage to hopefully fulfill this goal of becoming a professional tennis player.

That is an actual quote, I'm just not sure who said it...Hope this is helpful..

What is your view of destroying Barbies for pleasure or for creating artistic expression ?

I have seen countless videos on My Space, YOUTUBE, and other sites of Barbies being destroyed through various methods. Is seeing it or actual participating in such activity acceptable behavior? There orften is laughter or approval by the participants in them. Kat Surth has a video on My Space which envolves her destroying Barbies in the name of art. She is quite pleased as she performs this activity on camera. This is quite evident as she breaks them in half and removes several heads. Her photographic work is being displayed in an art gallery showing next month. http://vidsearch.myspace.com/index.cfm?f... An FBI profiler has said years ago that mutilating Barbies leads to mutilating real women.

What is your view of destroying Barbies for pleasure or for creating artistic expression ?movie theater

The psychological imbalance comes first, then the mutilation of Barbies, Kermit frogs, live kittens and puppys etc. Breaking apart of anything, framing it, and displaying it as "art" is neither here nor there.

Barbie Dolls were contrived by its inventor to indoctrinate little girls into a life of shopping for clothes, makeup, shoes, cars, Kens etc. Breaking them apart and displaying them as "art" is probably a conscious or unconscious desire to express a contempt for such indoctrination and brain washing of our young people.

When kicking, why can I not keep my leg straight?

I recently started practicing martial arts (Kung Fu) and while I realise that technique, posture and balance will all improve with time my kicks are suffering from something and I think I will have to do something beyond regular practice to improve.

When I lift my leg to perform the waist-high kicks in Tan Tui I have no chance of reaching high enough while keeping my leg straight. If I keep my leg straight I can barely get it 5" off the ground.

At that point, there is a stretch in my upper gastrocnemius (or lower hamstring, I feel it in tendons at the back of the knee joint) and I feel tension rather high up in my front thigh. I can hold the position for probably 3-5 seconds before my leg starts shaking.

Now I suspect I need to work on both flexibility in my calves and strength in my thighs, does this sound right? And, is there anyone out there who have overcome this problem who can share some strength/exercise routine that worked?

Thanks!

Yes, I have a similar problem: my legs are very tight and inflexible, and so I cannot extend my leg completely straight. Work on stretching your whole body....but after you have had a warmup or after your workout. Hamstring stretch would be seated, stretching your hands towards your toes (seated rather than standing reduces pressure on your back). Another hamstring stretch is to lie in a doorframe and make an L with your legs: the leg you're stretching should lean against the doorframe, while the other leg is resting on the ground. Calf/gastrocnemious....stand close to a wall and put your foot agaist it so your toes are pulled back and upwards towards your body. Or, stand on a step, etc with your heels hanging off. It sounds like you've been working on your stretching, but it make take time and more stretching to see results. I stretch a little before and a lot after running, and still continue to be tight. Some degree of tightness comes from being strong and having those muscles contract. You just want enough flexibility to move joints and muscles easily during a workout, and not so tight that injuries occur.
hi there you are on your way to kicking straight. flexibility

strengthing your knee. is a good start. those muscles in the knee need to be worked on, hamstring is tuff, do not forget to stretch before and after all workouts, very important

I'm a 21 year old ambitious student, and I want an artistic hobby, something cool?

No arts and crafts like those done in the second grade, or really cheesy things, something that I can perform or show that has tangible results and is not too expesive to get started on.

photography - always cool plus you have great art to hang on the walls and you can always sell it if they are good and make some extra money.

Make jewelry. You can start out with simple materials, and you can make REALLY cool stuff!

Or you can get a second hand guitar and "make beautiful music".....now what can be cooler than that?
Get started in puppetry. It may sound little kidish but its not. You need to be very skilled to produce beautiful puppets and performing is also something which takes time to master, but is rewarding.
Try a musical instrument. you must like music
nude modeling? .. I mean you don't have to buy clothes so everything is cheap..and you get a breeze every once and awhile!
Try Artistic Metal Working, aka artistic blacksmithing. The national group is the Artist- Blacksmith Association of North America at (ABANA.com). I have enjoyed the hobby for over 33 years.
You should try quilting! You can start pretty cheaply - I started by buying remnants at a local fabric store. All you need is fabric, needle, and thread - a sewing machine isn't even really required to get started.

There are a bazillion free quilt patterns on the web. It's a very creative and tactile hobby! If you're hand-piecing your blocks, it's also very portable. You can go as cheap or as expensive as you like - it's all about your creativity. You don't even have to make a big quilt, you can make table runners, wall hangings, even Christmas ornaments!

If you're not sure you'd be interested, do a Google search to see if you can find a locally sponsored quilt show to attend. Or use the phone book to find a quilt shop near you and stop in there to see what the ladies are making. Typically it is NOT your grandmother's quilt anymore! I'm hooked and have been for more than 12 years. It's a lifetime hobby!

Here are some of my favorite sites to get you started:
knitting seems to be the hip thing to do lately and jewelery making with beach glass. beach glass you can pick up on the beach for free! and knitting would result in some new clothes!
Fly a kite.

I'm not joking, I'm not sure if you know they're are more than

one line kites. A dual line kite Would be the one you want to try first. You're in control of the kite, you can turn, dive, do loops. There's also quad line kites. It flies like the dual line kite, but the cool thing about this type of kite is that you can stop it in flight and even fly backwards.

Kites have changed, Not like the old daimond kite we all had as kids. If you want a challenge, try flying these type of kites. You can get a real work out. Some of these kites, depending on how strong the wind is, can generate pull of 50 pounds to at least 200 pounds. Yes, these kites do pull hard.

He's very helpful.
Beading/jewelry making, knitting (or crocheting if that your thing) and scrapbooking are the major trends in arts and crafts right now. I'm 22 and I do all three. I find scrapbooking to be the most creatively satifiying whereas I love the instant gratifaction I get with jewelry making and its easy to sell pieces you make but then again there is just something so relaxing about knitting not to mention scarves, hats, shawls etc... make the most wonderful gifts.

jewelry making and beading can be an expensive hobby to start. a basic tool kit can easily set you back 30-50 bucks, plus the cost of the beads which really do add up in the beginning. You can sell pieces you make eventually though and that can help off set the cost. if you buy a lot of costume jewelry then you might actually save some money in the long run. its a lot harder to justify a jewelry purchse when you can make the same thing yourself, and your would probably turn out a lot nicer.

scrapbooking is fun and a great way to preserve your photos and mementos. you dont need much to start. some photos, a scrapbook (its best to start with and 8"x11" inch instead of the standard 12"x12". the papers are cheaper and its less daunting), some acid free papers and maybe some embellishments like stickers or stamps, scrapbooking glue and a good pair of scissors. Scrapbooking is the kind of craft where you can gradually build up your tool box rather than go and get everything before you start. You can just dip your toe in and see if you like it and if you dont your only out about 20 bucks and you have a lovely keepsake either way.

If your looking for minimal investment, then knitting/crochet is the way to go. A set of needles or a hook is about 3 bucks and a ball of yarn is another $2. You can teach yourself with online videos for free. www.knittinghelp.com is my personal favourite for knitting, I dont crochet so I don't know any sites off hand but I do know there are several out there. There's a never ending stream of free patterns online or books at your local library and theres something so satifying about putting on something you made with your own two hands or giving someone you care about something warm and snuggly. Yarn crafts do take longer to complete than most others but I find the results are worth the work esp. if you live in a cold climate and you put on that scarf that took you 12 hours make every single day and everytime someone compliments you on it, the works seem worth it all over again.

I hope I was helpful and good luck!
Why not try your hand at Polymer Clay! I make cutesie beads, but there are so many things you can do with it! I would suggest Premo! brand, or Kato, or you can mix them. Here is some of my work with it! : http://albums.photo.epson.com/j/AlbumInd...

You can get Premo! at your local craft store. And here is a website that has TONS of cool ideas on what you can do with it other than just beads! http://polymerclaycentral.com/
Origami!!! It's not lame! It's a beautiful art of paper folding that teaches you patience and precision, and the better you get, the more complicated and intricate your final results will be. Plus it's cheap... All you have to do is buy paper! I know it may not sound all that great, but in school, students and teachers sometimes watch me fold paper from my notebook into a turtle or flower or something, and they sit amazed. It really takes skill to learn to do all of the folds right, but it's worthwhile. I think this is a good hobby, but maybe painting, bird house making, sewing, crocheting, beading, key chain making, or baking may catch your interest. Whatever you do, make sure it's something you enjoy!!!

Help with "guys and dolls" set?

my school is putting on a production of guys and dolls, and we can't figure out how to do the sewer scene. we have EXTREMELY limited wing space and no way to stow things above (you know, the screen things). a panel with a sewer backdrop is too big to fit, and we run out of ideas after that. we could always opt for a cop-out solution, like having a water-dripping sound effect and perform in front of the closed curtain, but it would be great if there were other options. oh, and my school is very much over-focused on athletics, so the arts don't get a whole lot of funding. thus, any reasonable solution would have to be cheap.

if anyone could suggest something, that would be awesome. thanks!

Help with "guys and dolls" set?imax theater

Do it with sound. Black backdrop, lower all lights to nil, dripping water sound effect, footsteps in shallow water sound effects, even a squeeky rat sound effect. Have the all the actors carry flashlights. If its dark enough, you can do some fun things with blocking the actors and the position of the lights as people enter/exit the scene.

www.findsounds.com will help you find ambient sounds like dripping water, sewer rat, and maybe even footsteps in water. I'd have one of my go-getter students or stage manager put together an MP3 loop you can play over the sound system (or mike a boombox if necessary).

Help with "guys and dolls" set?classical music opera theater

Since "Luck Be A Lady" is a big dance number, your choreographer will hate you if you do it in front of the main curtain - there's no room to dance!

If you have an upstage traveller curtain (preferably black) you could pin canvas painted to look like representative pieces of the sewer (pipes, etc) onto the curtain. Or paint a sewer backdrop and hang it on the traveller track.

You have no fly space, but could cut pipes out of luan (a very thin plywood panel) and hinge them to the ceiling so with a pull of a rope they are stowed out of the way flat to the ceiling and then swing down into place when needed.

Continuing with luan, you could cut large representative pieces and have the Hatbox Girls dressed as the gangster's molls holding them upright during the scene. They'd be flat and easily stored (the set pieces, not the girls).

You don't need to get too literal with the set, a suggestion of place is all that it really takes.
For my production we just used a standard painted flat with carpet tubes for pipes on it. We also used a smoke machine (just a little bit of smoke). The sfx idea is good, I like it, but that in and of itself is probably not enough alone. That's just an example from what we did, hope it helps.

What's the best talent that i can perfrom?

Hi guys, i really need your help. I used to compete in beauty pageants and they always said dancers were a dime a dozen. You also have to consider whether the judges are intelligent enough to recognize truly difficult dance steps. Also, good dancers make dance look easy, and that can count against you. If you can play the piano, or an instrument and sing, or write your own songs, that talent might be more easily appreciated by the judges. The key question is, "What will the judges think is the most difficult talent, and what talent can they easily understand?"

Dear Hassan....if you are going to impress with your communication you need help with your English. I'm sorry, if I had to do this in another language I would be far from perfect.

I am not really sure what you are asking for. Do you have to do an Audition. Is that what you need.?

Edit your question and give more details.

Look up Audition and use the spell checker. That will impress
